Creating a Faculty Engagement Experience

The idea of the Africa & African-American Studies program sponsoring an immersion experience for faculty originates with a program I heard about at the AACU meeting in 2016. Designing an experience that builds on the complex black history in our area makes sense from multiple perspective. The faculty I reached out to for this program come from a variety of disciplines, but my estimation is that their classes and research can align. I'm hoping this experience creates new links between our campus and these local spaces.
