Using HistoryMakers in the Classroom

I’m excited by the opportunity to work with two stellar graduate student Zack Kruse and Justin Wigard, on the development of series of lesson plans using The Historymakers Oral History Archive.

Our project will build on the work we accomplished this year as a part of the Graphic Possibilities Research Workshop in the Department of English. We create the Graphic Possibilities Research Guide in conjunction with the Michigan State University Library. This project will support teaching and scholarship among our community. We are hoping that it will help others who might want to engage with comics.

This grant will allow us to support scholars we know are teaching or want to teach using comics. I can’t help but be excited about the possibilities.
